Sunplus Innovation Technology, the former Controller & Peripheral BU of Sunplus Technology, was spun-off on 1st Dec. 2006 in Hsinchu Science Park. Sunplus Innovation is 100% hold by Sunplus with capital NT$240 million.

Sunplus Innovation is engaged in the design, development, research, sales of integrated circuit (ICs) for Controller& Peripherals. We are dedicated to commercialize the micro-controller technology to create a comfortable and colorful digital life for everyone.

Before the spin-off, our R&D team has devoted lots of resources to the research of micro-controller field for 16 years, and established a unique position in the market worldwide. After the spin-off, Sunplus Innovation keeps investing in the R&D and being more aggressive in the development of new products. Now, the product categories of Sunplus Innovation include keyboard and mouse IC, multi-function printer IC, laser/inkjet printer IC, SATA bridge/storage IC, microcontroller for home appliances and ASICs. By sharing resources with the parent company, Sunplus Technology, and our non-stop progress in R&D, we have faith in providing total solutions of the highest quality for our customers.

To emphasize professionalism, Sunplus Innovation subcontracts out wafer manufacturing, die sawing, IC packaging & testing. We also build up "wafer bank" strategy with our foundries to reduce wafer lead-time and to adopt a low volume/diversity approach to orders. Sunplus Innovation has been leveraging Sunplus group's economic scale for outsourcing to produce quality and cost-effective products.
