In u'nSP IDE, user can emulate, debug and download on SPMC75X family through an USB Probe provided by SunplusIT.
The embedded In-Circuit-Emulation has three external pins: ICEN , ICECLK and ICESDA . In user's target board, t he USB Probe interface circuit can be developed by the integration of the three introducing pins and the power ( +3.3 V) lines and GND lines together.

1. Get to know USB Probe USB Probe
Probe is the interface between the ICE embedded in SPMC75X family and the u'nSP IDE. User can emulate, debug and download on SPMC75X family through Probe in u'nSP IDE. The connection picture is shown as figure 1-1.

Figure 1-1 Probe and Connection

Probe connector has three types of specification as shown below:

2. Hardware Connection

Figure 1-2 Hardware Connection

The Hardware Connection is shown in figure 1-2.
Insert the Probe flat end to USB interface into PC and the other end (PS2 or SIP) into the Probe connector in the user's target board or SPMC75X EVM board. Then supply power to the user's target board or SPMC75X EVM board.

3. Emulation and debug
After accomplished the hardware connection, user can emulate, debug and download on SPMC75X family in unSP IDE, just as shown in figure 1-3.

4 Program
SPMC75 X family use s flash as program memory. The program has been written to the device without the special programming operation when performing simulation debug.

5 Interface design between user's target board and USB probe
When user designs on SPMC75X family , ICE interface should be reserved to e mulate, debug and download.
The interface of USB probe is designed as: the introducing pins ICEEN, ICECLK and ICESDA from SPMC75 family comes with the power(+3.3V)and GND to consist the interface circuit which is connected to the probe as shown in Figure 1-4. The power supply used in USB probe is +3.3V, while the SPMC75 family is +5V, thus a voltage regulator tube is adopted in this circuit to convert the voltage from +5V to +3.3V supplied for USB probe.

If user adopts the PS2 Probe, the schematic is shown in Figure 1-4 and the corresponding PCB part package is shown in Figure 1-5; if user adopts the SIP Probe, the schematic is same as Figure 1-4 except deleting Pin6 of PROBE and the corresponding PCB part package is shown in Figure 1-6.
